Thinking about the future starts with giving students opportunities to discover what matters to them and what they want to work toward.

At Newmark, we support students as they explore their interests, recognize their strengths, and develop greater independence and self-advocacy. There is no single path forward. Each experience helps students learn more about themselves and take meaningful steps toward life beyond the classroom.

parent holding hands with child text states why routines matter

Why do predictable routines matter for students?

Knowing what to expect can make the school day easier to navigate. When routines become familiar, students can spend less energy figuring out what comes next and give more attention to their learning.

That familiarity can also support independence. As students become more comfortable with everyday routines, they may need less guidance to move through different parts of their day.

A little predictability can go a long way in helping students feel ready for what comes next.
