Students Are Invited to Participate in Blankets of Hope

We will partner once again with Blankets of Hope for a school-wide Community Services project at Newmark this year!

On Monday, November 6, 2023, Newmark students will watch a special video presentation on how they can participate in this service learning project. With your family’s help, we hope to deliver at least 100 cozy blankets to the homeless in Union County.

We encourage all Newmark students to participate by sending in $7.00. This will be used to purchase one blanket from Blankets of Hope. Then on Friday, December 15, 2023, each student will write/draw a handwritten note to attach to their blanket. All the blankets will be delivered to Elizabeth Coalition to House the Homeless serving Union County. Please return the form below with $7.00 (cash or check payable to Newmark School) by Friday, December 1, 2023. Participation is optional, but we hope you will help us “spread the kindness.” Thank you for your support and for helping teach our Newmark students the value of Community Service

Blankets of Hope is an educational 501(c)3 nonprofit helping students practice empathy and kindness by donating blankets - each paired with an inspirational handwritten note - to those experiencing homelessness.
