Parent Alert - ED May Update on Student Vaccination Policy
Important update for Newmark families on COVID-19 vaccinations.
The CDC and New Jersey Department of Health (NJDOH) do NOT require fully vaccinated people to quarantine if they are exposed. A fully vaccinated person would ONLY need to isolate if they tested positive for COVID-19.

Student Vaccination and Quarantine Policy
The guidance is the same for children ages 12 and up who are fully vaccinated. Pfizer is the only approved vaccine for children ages 12 and up. If you plan (or have already done so) on having your child vaccinated, it is extremely important that you email a copy of their completed vaccination card to Nurse Carroll at firstname.lastname@example.org. We keep this card on file and add it to their immunization record. If for some reason there is an exposure in your child's classroom or outside of school, then your child would NOT need to quarantine unless they tested positive for COVID-19.
If we do not receive a COVID-19 vaccination card, then your child would be required to follow the 14 day quarantine period as per NJDOH.
If you have any questions, please feel free reach out to email@example.com or contact Nurse Carroll directly. As always, we appreciate all the support our families have provided to our school this year.
