Newmark Transition Program Parent Workshop: Thurs, Feb 2
Newmark parents are invited to a Transition Program Parent Workshop on Thursday, February 2, 2023 - "The DDD Process & Transition Support", presented by Equal Opportunity Support Services - South Plainfield, NJ at 7:00 PM at Newmark.

Location: Newmark - 1000 Cellar Avenue, Scotch Plains, NJ
Presenter Monique Lewis, Executive Director of Equal Opportunity Support Services, will walk attendees through the sometimes overwhelming process of transitioning individuals with Developmental Disabilities out of the Children’s System of Care (CSOC) and into the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD). Get proactive tips to help caregivers of individuals with developmental/ intellectual and/or behavioral disabilities live their best lives after they turn 21. Once individuals "age out" of CSOC, families must select an agency to provide support or one will automatically be assigned by the State. Learn how to enlist help to identify the needs, strengths and goals needed to develop a personalized plan to attain those goals.
FREE REGISTRATION
The event is free for all Newmark parents but registration is required by Monday, January 30, 2023.
