Newmark High School Students Shine at Dare to Dream Leadership Conferences
Newmark High School juniors recently participated in the Dare to Dream Leadership Conference at Rutgers University, an event sponsored by the New Jersey Department of Education’s Office of Special Education. The conference is designed to empower students with disabilities by promoting self-advocacy, leadership and personal growth.
The day featured inspiring keynote speakers and two engaging workshop sessions focused on goal-setting, self-advocacy, and preparing for future success in the workplace.
NHS senior Pranav S. shared his personal story as a keynote speaker while juniors Bryan A. and Layla M. proudly represented NHS by sharing their voices through spoken word and performance during the open mic portion of the event.
In addition, NHS senior Danny C. was a featured presenter at a separate Dare to Dream Conference held at Ramapo College.
We are incredibly proud of our students for their leadership, courage and active participation. We hope this meaningful experience continues to inspire them on their journey toward independence and self-empowerment.
