Newmark Celebrates Kindness Week

Newmark Celebrates Kindness Week

Newmark wrapped up Kindness Week with a schoolwide celebration as staff members proudly wore their kindness shirts, representing our shared commitment to creating a caring and inclusive community.

From 2/17 through 2/27, students participated in our “Caught Being Kind” Challenge, where acts of kindness were intentionally recognized and celebrated. Similar to March Mania, students earned “Kindness Tickets” whenever they were observed using kind words, offering help, showing respect or demonstrating thoughtful gestures throughout the day. Tickets could be earned anywhere in wellness classes, during specials and pull-outs, at lunch and recess, and in everyday interactions across the building reinforcing that kindness is something we practice all day long.

Throughout the month, students also engaged in meaningful kindness-focused activities during wellness classes, learning about empathy, compassion and the impact of small positive actions. The excitement of earning tickets and working toward a shared goal helped build teamwork and school spirit.

We are so proud of the way our students embraced kindness and made a positive difference in our school community!
