Assistive Technology Webinar - Wed, May 8
The Transition Team invites Newmark High School parents and students to an important virtual webinar on Assistive Technology for Students Transitioning to College, presented by Brian Friedlander, Ph.D. of AssistiveTek, LLC on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at 6:30 PM.
This 75-minute virtual webinar will offer valuable insights into the crucial role of assistive technology in college settings. Topics covered will include:
• Ensuring access to accommodations and assistive technology in college
• Digital pen technologies and E Ink devices
• AI-powered audio tools for note-taking
• Text-to-speech tools for reading and comprehension
• Speech recognition and mind mapping applications for writing
• Accommodations at colleges and universities and their interplay with assistive technology
We believe this webinar will be highly beneficial for students and provide valuable insights into the assistive technologies available to them. The event is free for all Newmark families but registration is required by Monday, May 5, 2025.
