9th Students Bring Shakespeare's Language To Life

Our 9th grade English students stepped into the spotlight for a special Shakespeare Open-Mic event celebrating their study of Romeo and Juliet. With mugs of "coffee" (hot chocolate) from Shakespeare’s Coffee House in hand, students embraced the Bard’s words in style by reading original sonnets in a poetry slam and performing dramatic scenes from the play. The atmosphere was warm, creative and full of laughter, as students brought Shakespeare’s language to life.
