Newmark K-8 and Newmark High School are state-approved, private schools located in Scotch Plains, NJ.  All Newmark students are admitted and placed directly through their local school districts.

  • Step 1: Child Study Team Member To Check Deadline/Availability

    Note: We are no longer accepting applications for the 2018-2019 School Year.

    We will begin accepting applications for 2019-2020 School Year and Extended School Year (ESY) program on March 1, 2019. 

    While we don't keep a waiting list we do send alerts to Child Study Team members about any openings during the school year.  Sign up for our CST Notification List.


  • Step 2: Complete District Application Form

    Download School District Application for the 2019-2020 School Year. This form is required for application.  Records will be rejected if application form is not included.

  • Step 3: Child Study Team to Submit Paperwork

    • Complete required District Application Form
    • Current Child Study Team Evaluations
    • High School transcripts (if applicable)
    • PARCC Standardized Test results
    • Current Individual Education Plan (IEP)
    • Current reports & records from applicable therapists and specialists
  • Step 4: Newmark Reviews Information

    After review, Newmark will contact the Child Study Team to advise of admission status.  If Newmark is an appropriate match, an official intake will be scheduled.
  • Step 5: School Intake

    Parent, Child and Child Study Team member are invited to Newmark for a brief tour of the facilities and a student interview.  Intake is approximately 45-60 minutes.
  • Step 6: Acceptance

    Acceptance letters are sent immediately following placement.  Contracts to follow under separate cover.
