Newmark K-8 and Newmark High School are state-approved, private schools located in a state-of-the-art facility in Scotch Plains, NJ. We serve students ages 5-21 who are strong academically, but live with autism spectrum disorders, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, attention issues and other developmental disabilities:

Our Expertise

Newmark provides academic and mental health services that set students on the path to success both academically and socially.

Newmark School's students are placed directly through their local school districts. Students come from approximately 45 school districts within seven New Jersey counties: Essex, Union, Hudson, Middlesex, Morris, Somerset, Ocean and Hunterdon, and represent a varied demographic and socio-economic base.

Newmark's History

  • 2001: Newmark K-8 founded by Dr. Regina M. Peter and Ms. Cynthia Allman
  • 2003: Newmark High School opens
  • 2005: Newmark doubles enrollment
  • 2009: Newmark Teacher Training Institute opens
  • 2011: $12 Million Capital Campaign begins
  • 2013: Newmark K-8 and High School move to new state-of-the-art facility in Scotch Plains, NJ
  • 2015: Newmark Outdoor Learning Space breaks ground
  • 2017: Newmark Garden Labyrinth opens
