FENCING | $150 per session | MONDAYS | ONSITE
Session I: 9/19/22, 9/26/22, 10/3/22, 10/17/22, 10/24/22, 11/7/22 (No club 10/10/22 – Columbus Day, 10/31/22 - Halloween)
Open to students in Mrs. Necci, Mrs. Demko, Ms. Greer, Mr. Kerby, Mrs. Mastrogiovanni and Mr. Cebula's classes. Minimum: 6 participants
Description: The sport of fencing is a unique and classic sport that helps develop discipline, balance, coordination and sportsmanship. Fencing also works on increasing reflex speed and the ability to make fast analysis of tactical situations which transfers to better problem-solving skills. Fencing is mentally challenging as it increases focus and concentration, allowing not a moment break ... earning its nickname “Physical Chess.” The club will be taught by professional fencers from the Advanced Fencing and Fitness Academy (AFFA). Fencing is offered on Monday afternoons immediately following dismissal and will end at 3:30 PM. Parents are responsible for picking their child up promptly at 3:30 PM. Snacks and drinks will be provided.

POTTERY ART PROGRAM | $75 per session | TUESDAYS | ONSITE
Session I: 9/20/22, 9/27/22, 10/4/22, 10/11/22, 10/18/22, 10/25/22, 11/1/22, 11/8/22
Open to students in Ms. Fagan/Ms. Halma, Ms. McCarty, Mrs. Necci and Mrs. Demko's classes. Minimum: 6 participants
Description: Students will be introduced to the basic hand building techniques of pottery. Students will learn how to score, slip and blend clay together to create amazing works of art. Participants will also be exposed to many different techniques using molds, draping and cut outs, along with glazing techniques. The Pottery Program runs Tuesdays afternoon immediately following after dismissal and will end at 4:00 PM.

NEW! EXPERIMENT WITH SCIENCE PROGRAM | $75 per session | TUESDAYS | ONSITE

Open to students in Ms. Greer, Mr. Kerby, Mrs. Mastrogiovanni and Mr. Cebula's classes. Minimum: 6 participants
Description: The objective of this club is for students to increase their interest and conceptual understanding of science through hands-on activities and experiments. Each session will cover different content areas, such as ecology, biology, chemistry and physics. The Science Program runs Tuesday afternoons immediately following after dismissal and will end at 4:00 PM. Parents are responsible for picking their child up promptly at 4:00 PM.

GAMER'S GUILD CLUB | $75 per session | WEDNESDAYS | ONSITE
Session I: 9/21/22, 9/28/22, 10/5/22, 10/12/22, 10/19/22, 10/26/22, 11/2/22, 11/9/22
Open to students in Mrs. Demko, Ms. Greer, Mr. Kerby, Mrs. Mastrogiovanni and Mr. Cebula's classes. Minimum – 6 participants
Description: Students will be introduced to a variety of new games where they will develop an understanding of rules within an engaging and enjoyable environment. Students will work collaboratively through fantastical worlds like Dungeons and Dragons, as well as learn the value of partaking in friendly competition during card games. Gamers’ Guild is offered on Wednesday afternoons immediately following after dismissal and will end at 4:00 PM. Parents are responsible for picking their child up promptly at 4:00 PM.

INTRAMURALS | $75 per session | WEDNESDAYS | ONSITE

Open to all K-8 students. Minimum – 10 participants
Description: The Intramurals Club is designed to allow all students to participate in a variety of activities with their friends, while learning game fundamentals in a fun and lightly competitive environment. Intramurals is offered on Wednesday afternoons immediately following dismissal and will end at 4:00 PM. Parents are responsible for picking their child up promptly at 4:00 PM. Snacks and drinks will be provided.

MINECRAFT JAVA CLUB | $75 per session | THURSDAYS | VIRTUAL

Open to students in Ms. Greer, Mr. Kerby, Mrs. Mastrogiovanni and Mr. Cebula's classes. Minimum – 6 participants, Maximum – 12 participants
Description: Microsoft Minecraft is the most popular video game that has ever been released. It enhances creativity, problem-solving, self-direction, collaboration, and other life skills. Newmark Students will be able to collaborate, interact and create with one another on within private sever. Along with a staff member, student will play different games and compete in different weekly activities. Before registering, please understand participating students must own the Minecraft Java Edition and have it downloaded. Minecraft is offered virtually on Thursday afternoons and will run from 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM.

Description: Microsoft Minecraft is an educational game-based learning platform that promotes creativity, collaboration and problem-solving in an immersive digital environment. It enhances creativity, problem-solving, self-direction, collaboration and other life skills. Virtually, Microsoft Minecraft complements reading, writing, math, and even history learnings. Importantly, Minecraft also instills business principles, STEM knowledge and a global perspective. Before registering, please understand participating students must own the Minecraft and have it downloaded. Minecraft is offered virtually on Thursday afternoons and will run from 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM.
