"...The team [at the new school] was so highly impressed with how she has handled the start of 7th grade and the transition into a new public school. As I listened to the examples of how she is able to self-advocate, stay calm, raise her hand to ask questions when she does not understand a math problem, work cooperatively in a group, recover from being upset in under 3 minutes and then join the class completely fine, make friends (to the point in which her English teacher and the school psychologist said that "you would never know that Alice was new to the school”), completes all of her classwork and homework on time, makes appropriate and complex points during class discussions, seems wise and highly self-aware during her private counseling sessions … and the list goes on.
I NEED you to know that I sat there not knowing whether to smile or cry with joy. All I could keep saying was “It’s Newmark. That’s because of everyone at Newmark. She learned how to do that at Newmark. I know that I have said thank you a million times, but it will never be enough. You and the incredible people of Newmark have truly given Alice a life where she is (mostly) happy, confident and proud … and so once again, I thank you, I thank everyone from the bottom of my heart." - Newmark Parent
