Admissions Process for Our Schools

Newmark School in Plainfield (serving grades K-8) and Newmark High School in Carteret (serving grades 9-12) are non-profit, state-approved private schools for children with learning disabilities and/or behavioral difficulties. We currently have 130 students enrolled in our programs and we specialize in educating students with ADD/ADHD, Mild Autism, Anxiety, Asperger's Syndrome, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Sensory Integration Disorder and Oppositional Defiant Disorder.

If you wish to enroll your child in one of the Newmark Schools, please contact your school district and request that your child's case manager call Cynthia Allman, Executive Director at 908-753-0330 and provide the following documentation.

  • Current Child Study Team Evaluations
  • Current Individualized Education Plan (IEP)
  • Current reports and records from applicable therapists and specialists

Once this information has been reviewed and your child is deemed an appropriate candidate for admission, your district case manager will be contacted to schedule an official intake. The intake will include a tour of the Newmark facilities for you and your child along with a student interview, and will last approximately 30-45 minutes.
